of motion blur? It is to blur in
one direction depending on the angel you pick so that it looks like the

the purpose of the following ENHANCE filters:
· Antialias Looks for jagged edges and tries to make them looker
smoother.
· Despeckle is used to remove small elements from the image,
particularly specks or small lines.
· Destripe removes vertical lines that are left by some older
scanners.
· NL Filter tries to do everything: it’s a combination of
smoothing, despeckle, and sharpen in one filter.
|
5. Briefly describe
the purpose of the following DISTORT filters:
· Blinds Make it look like your image is painted on venetian
blinds and you are changing the angles of those blinds.
· Curve Bend Is useful for changing the shape of any layer.
· Engrave Creates the black-and-white “engraved” look that you
sometimes see in old illustrations.
· IWarp Stretches the image like it was on a rubber sheet.

through water waves.

· Supernova makes a flare with spiky rays and you can change the
color of the flare.
· Drop Shadow a show behind an image.
· Glass Tile makes the image look like it is being viewed through a
wall with many glass bricks.
|
7. Describe various
ways the EDGE filters are used in GIMP: The
edge filters are use to make the edges the way you want them to look. They
can make jagged edges or soft edges.
|

FILMSTRIP filter do? It takes all the images
you have open in different GIMP windows and combines them in a filmstrip.
|
9. List and describe 5
filters found in the ARTISTIC filters group:
a. Cartoon- makes it look like the image is hand
drawn by adding black outlines near the edges.
b. Softglow- gives a “bathed in light” impression, as
though the image was hazy and a bit overexposed.

lot of little cubes.
d. placement- controls how the brush strokes will be
grouped on the page.
